Know Before You Go
CAN WE PURCHASE BEER TO GO?
Absolutely! In fact, we encourage you to do so and each brewery offers a wide variety of beers to go including 6-packs, crowlers (32 ounce cans filled fresh), and of course growlers. Feel free to bring your own growler or buy one at the brewery of your choice. We provide a large cooler with ice to keep your tasty, malty beverage cold until you get home.
CAN WE MAKE SUBSTITUTIONS ON THE FOOD?
The breweries are typically very busy and they have been beyond accommodating to host our private group. Therefore, we kindly ask that you not ask for any substitutions on the food. It is all delicious and you won't be sorry regardless of what you order. If you have serious food allergies please be sure to note that while making your reservation so that we can let the brewery know ahead of time. A vegan and vegetarian option is available on the included menu at Maui Brewing Co.
CAN WE MAKE SUBSTITUTIONS ON THE BEER FLIGHTS THAT ARE INCLUDED?
Yes, each brewery has an offering of substitutions for those people who may not like beer or perhaps may just want something a bit different after having a few flights. The offerings vary by brewery but most offer either a hard seltzer, a cocktail, a glass of wine or a non-alcoholic kombucha or soda. Simply let your guide know that you would prefer a substitution and he/she can let you know what is available.
CAN MY KIDS JOIN?
While we highly encourage you to bring your kids back to the brewery of your choice after your tour for dinner/sunset etc we are unfortunately a 21 and up only tour. We do partner with a nanny service that has excellent credentials on the island. Please email us ahead of time and we would be happy to help arrange that for you so that you can enjoy an adult evening out knowing the little ones are well taken care of.
CAN WE ORDER ADDITIONAL PINTS ON THE TOUR?
Each brewery has a different personalized experience designed specifically for our group which includes a full flight/tasting. After you have enjoyed that flight there will be time to order any beer to go that you might want to enjoy later and/or any merchandise you might want (this is of course all on your own tab). Also, time permitting, you can order an additional pint (not included in your tour price) to enjoy before heading to the next brewery.
CAN WE DRINK OUR TO-GO BEER IN THE VAN ON THE WAY TO THE NEXT BREWERY?
Maui has very strict liquor laws and unfortunately drinking an alcoholic beverage (open container) in a vehicle is against the law. Don't worry though, there will be plenty of time at each brewery to "suck em up" and that way you can save your to-go beer for the beach!
DO YOU OFFER PRIVATE TOURS?
Absolutely! We love bachelor/bachelorette parties, birthday parties, family reunions, college graduations, really any reason to celebrate and we are in! WHAT SHOULD I BRING WITH ME?
The only items that are absolutely required are your state issued driver's license and a face mask (during Covid) - without those we cannot let you join the tour. Otherwise, we always recommend that you bring your smart phone and/or a camera and dress comfortably. If you are joining our dinner tour a light cover up is also recommended as we do tend to keep the van on the cooler side. If you plan on purchasing additional to-go beer, merchandise or additional beverages at the breweries then you will need to bring an additional form of payment (credit card, cash etc).
WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE TOUR PRICE?
Each tour includes one flight of beer per brewery (total of 3 flights), heavy appetizers and a full meaL. (click here to see the menu). The tour also includes transportation from your meeting spot between all of the breweries and a return drop-off at the meeting location. The van will have a cooler with ice to keep any of your to-go beers cold until you get home. Each brewery will have a personalized experience designed specifically for our group. You will learn about each breweries specialties, the local craft beer scene here on Maui, the process of brewing, the different styles of beer, how to properly pair food with different styles, the packaging and distribution side of the breweries and if you are lucky you may even get to meet Buck - Maui's highest ranked beer judge! Finally, we include a fun, personable guide/driver who will answer any questions you might have about beer or just Maui in general.
